        CNC PROGRAMMER/ OPERATOR -Experienced (#17-2017)

          DOCUMENT CONTROL/SHIPPING COORDINATOR ASSISTANT (#1S-2018)

          Eberhard Manufacturing Company is a well-established industrial hardware latching manufacturer located in Strongsville, OH. We are looking for a Document Control/Shipping Coordinator Assistant who will work in our Production Control Department. The person who fills this position must have an analytic mindset, strong math and statistics skills, and the ability to read blueprints. He or she will need to be detail oriented with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. Being highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills will help an individual thrive in Eberhard’s fast-paced work environment with limited supervision.

          Responsibilities as Document Control:

          • Create shop Packets from production orders
          • Process order, transactions to issue or close out
          • Reconcile negative inventory transactions
          • Assist in distribution of new orders
          • Scan completed orders for Quality Control Records
          • Create orders for Mig Weld with Pick Slips & Tags
          • Assist / backup Shipping Coordinator

          Responsibilities as Shipping Coordinator Assistant

          • Process shipments – call trucks, enter data into computer, print bills of lading, address labels, prep packing slips and confirm items shipped
          • Bar Coding Requirements
          • Coordinate shipments with Working Coordinator and Ashtabula Dept. for combined shipments (Daimler, Paccar, etc.)
          • Take initiative to be actively involved in the Shipping Report (Look ahead)
          • Notify truck lines of pick-ups and confirm shipments
          • Generate Bills of Lading
          • Verify all paperwork from packer is together and completed
          • Issue Export Paper for Commercial Invoices of Foreign (E) shipments and file
          • Check e-mails, reprint PL’s and communicate to packers & Working Coordinator what is needed
          • Stay up to date with customer specific software

          Supplemental Functions:

          • Assist in planner review, order creation
          • Enter outside service orders and create necessary paperwork

          Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required

            QUALITY and CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER (#7S-2017)

            For over 150 years Eberhard Manufacturing Company has manufactured and designed access systems for the industrial, vehicular and specialty market segments. We produce hardware and access systems (both mechanical and electro-mechanical) using a variety of manufacturing processes such as press stamping, machining, assembling, and welding. We specialize in working with our customers on developing solutions for their specific applications. Eberhard recognizes the importance of continuous improvement and therefore; we are looking for a highly motivated and goal oriented candidate to fill our Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager position.

            The person who fills this roll will be responsible for the following three categories of activities:

            • Lead the Quality Team to both maintain and improve the ISO 9001 accredited Quality Management System (QMS) for a diverse manufacturing and assembly operation. Must also ensure compliance to all customer specific quality requirements. Activities include, but are not limited to, formulating implementing and maintaining the QMS as well as the supervision of production inspectors.
            • Implement Continuous Improvement (CI) lean principles to improve operating performance and reduce waste in alignment with the strategic goals of Eberhard Manufacturing. Lead, support and coordinate cross functional process improvement teams and projects to drive operational excellence.
            • Champion a culture of Ultimate Customer Satisfaction. Ensure that the daily work flow and operational efficiency of the Quality Department is optimized. Also, ensure that the establishing of standards, compliance, scheduling, staffing, and auditing activities are designed to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers.

            Essential Functions:

            • Ensure quality system and documents are in compliance with all government and industry standards/codes.
            • Manage and coordinate quality team to ensure daily goals are met.
            • Interface with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, suppliers and customers in resolution of quality related problems and issues.
            • Participate in new product planning to ensure quality issues are managed early in the product cycle and assist in the release of new products as required in the quality planning process.
            • Lead advanced/complex problem-solving initiatives utilizing statistical techniques (when appropriate) to determine true root cause, develop and validated corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned across the entire company.
            • Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate significant improvements and improved working relationships.
            • Participate in and coordinate CI initiatives, Lean Manufacturing, Problem-Solving, Kaizen events and other improvement activities.
            • Must be comfortable with public speaking and presentations in order to deliver highly effective problem solving training that promotes CI tools and mindsets throughout the organization.
            • Coordinate relevant training and work with the other staff to drive measurable improvements of processes, systems, and information.
            • Develop long-term plans for continual growth in products, processes, procedures, etc.
            • Must be able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
            • Desire to continue learning new skills and techniques thru in house training, outside training / course work, seminars, and trade shows.
            • Proactively involve all employees of the organization to gain their input and support. Generate employee enthusiasm and participation in CI initiative.
            • Report quantifiable goals, objectives, schedules, and financial results of Lean initiatives to the Management team.

            Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

            • Experienced in implementing ISO 9001:2015 quality systems, process audits, and process improvement
            • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and team skills; able to document procedures, express processes in writing and process mapping
            • Proven project management and leadership skills with the ability to develop strong support for change with all levels of the Company
            • Knowledgeable in training techniques
            • Understand statistical tools and how/when to apply appropriately, including statistical software
            • Geometric Dimension Tolerance
            • APQP
            • Strong working knowledge in Lean Process and Tools
            • Problem Solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Cause and Effect, ect

            Education - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Quality, Engineering, Operations or related field.

            Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.

            Six-Sigma Black Belt Certificate - preferred

            Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

            • Automotive production background
            • Knowledge of Six Sigma Process and Tools
            • Knowledge of metal stamping, welding and assembly
            • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer a plus

              MILITARY SALES MANAGER – FULL TIME (#6S-2017)

              A well-established industrial hardware manufacturer located in a suburb southwest of Cleveland, OH is looking for a highly motivated and goal oriented Military Sales Manager who will be accountable for the development of new military customers that will lead to distribution and growth in both current and emerging markets. As a member of our sales team, the person who fills this position will work individually and collaboratively with regional sales managers, engineers, customer service and other staff to ensure information is shared in a timely manner and to ensure team alignment around specific and strategic customer plans and objectives. This individual will also lead the strategy for achieving sales plan budgets. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the relationship with key decision makers for assigned accounts to ensure Eberhard is viewed as a value-added partner who meets their present and future needs.

              Responsibilities Include:

              • Lead the overall strategy of customer specific plans with new and existing National Military customers
              • Develop new and modified products to meet the Military market needs and customer demands
              • Manage the new opportunity pipeline to ensure a high quality portfolio of opportunities is available within the assigned military accounts
              • Support sales development and attend trade shows and travel a minimum of 50% of the time to visit customers as needed

              Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education:

              • Minimum five years of sales experience in outside sales with preferred sales background selling to the Military Equipment OE’s or prior experience selling through TACOM.
              • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution - Previous sales experience with a proven track record showing results may be considered in place of a Bachelor’s Degree
              • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
              • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
              • Strong expediting and project management skills
              • Ability to understand and read blueprints
              • A strong aptitude for mechanical applications and problem solving
              • Excellent presentation and influencing skills
              • Experience in using all external and internal sales reporting systems such as IRI and Margin Minder
              • Understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
              • Works well under pressure, willingness to meet tight deadlines

                Open Position: ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ENGINEER (#5S-2017)

                Eberhard Manufacturing Company is a well-established industrial hardware latching manufacturer located in Strongsville, OH. We are looking for a highly motivated and goal oriented candidate who can conceptualize and design latching mechanisms using electro-mechanical technologies. As a member of our engineering team, the person who fills this position will work individually and collaboratively with other engineers, designers, manufacturing personnel, managers, sales staff, suppliers and customers to complete product development assignments. The ideal candidate will utilize engineering principals to participate in all phases of new product development including creation, prototypes, testing and analysis.

                Responsibilities Include:

                • Supporting new product development for electro-mechanical products.
                • Expanding into new electronic product lines while supporting the legacy electro-mechanical products currently in production
                • Conceptualizing new electronic latching platforms using electro-mechanical technologies
                • Supporting sales and occasionally attending trade shows and traveling to visit customers as needed on new developmental projects

                Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education:

                • Minimum five years of applicable electronic engineering experience
                • BSEE or BSME
