Short Run Assembly Technician – 2nd Shift
Responsibilities:
Assembly:
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the assembly process
- Follow guidelines and work instructions on military and standard jobs
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Sort and/or Repair nonconforming parts (NCMR’s)
Powder Coating:
- Prepare parts for coating
- Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
- Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, oven and booth collection systems
- Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance
Packing/Vent:
- Follow packing list to pack assembled parts in boxes
- Pack boxes on pallets
- Develop mailing labels and shipping documents
- Keep accurate records of shipments
- Ensure orders are filled correctly
Supplemental Functions:
- Drive Fork Trucks and use hand tools
- Willing to learn other jobs throughout the shop for backup coverage
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in reading Complex Blueprints
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast pace environment
- Able to perform repetitive tasks
- HS Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
