Short Run Assembly Technician – 2nd Shift

Responsibilities:

Assembly:

  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the assembly process
  • Follow guidelines and work instructions on military and standard jobs
  • Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
  • Sort and/or Repair nonconforming parts (NCMR’s)

Powder Coating:

  • Prepare parts for coating
  • Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
  • Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, oven and booth collection systems
  • Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance

Packing/Vent:

  • Follow packing list to pack assembled parts in boxes
  • Pack boxes on pallets
  • Develop mailing labels and shipping documents
  • Keep accurate records of shipments
  • Ensure orders are filled correctly

Supplemental Functions:

  • Drive Fork Trucks and use hand tools
  • Willing to learn other jobs throughout the shop for backup coverage

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in reading Complex Blueprints
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent, preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: (including educational requirements)

  • Computer Skills
  • Background in ISO-9000
