Best Places to Stay, Eat and See in Denver

Outdoor Retailer 2019 is coming up in a few short weeks, from June 18-20, at the Colorado Convention Center. ILC is proud to be returning this year and will be camped out at Booth 521-LL during the entirety of the convention. While we know that Outdoor Retailer itself is a high point of the trip for so many, we hope you take advantage of your venture to Colorado and explore the fantastic city of Denver and the surrounding regions, as we plan on doing.

To help you navigate a city with so much to do and see in such a short window, your friends at ILC have compiled a few of our favorite places to visit, eat, and stay at from our past experiences at Outdoor Retailer, as well as from the wisdom of friends.

NOT TO MISS:

-Rocky Mountain National Park: For the true outdoors folks and nature lovers, this is a no-brainer. From hiking to the wildlife and everything in-between, you can get to the park via various tours and public transportation options, available from Denver proper.

-Denver Brewery Tours: For those who enjoy craft beer, Denver is the place to be. Take a tour of the local downtown breweries to sample their unique and varied beers and see why so many aficionados call Denver the “Napa Valley of Craft Beer.”

-Red Rocks Amphitheatre: A short venture outside of the city limits will bring you to one of the most stunning concert venues in the world.  It’s as breath-taking aesthetically as it is acoustically sound. Not to be missed.

-Dispensaries: Yeah, in the Mile-High City, it’s legal. It can’t be utilized in public or around the convention center, but for out-of-towners, this could be an exciting sight to see, even if you don’t partake.

TO FEAST:

-Guard & Grace: Located Downtown, this stunning modern steakhouse has three private dining rooms, an oyster bar, and seasonal menus.

-The Crimson Room: Located in Larimer Square, Denver’s very first city block, expect tasty small bites, desserts, fantastic cocktails, and live jazz or acoustic music sets during the evening.

-Julep: A warm, welcoming dining destination with great takes on classic Southern comfort food. From gumbo to fried chicken, biscuits or deviled snails, stop in to check it out!

-54Thirty: A new rooftop bar that just opened at Le Méridien Denver Downtown. Perfect for a post-show cocktail!

CATCHING ZZZ’s:

- Le Méridien Denver Downtown: As we just mentioned above, they have a new rooftop bar, and offer amazing, chic amenities and facilities, literally feet away from the Convention Center.

-AC Hotel: Also very local to the Convention Center, this hotel is known for offering uniquely European energy, paired with a functional and urban-pioneering aesthetic.

-the Art: One of the most visually stunning hotels to look at, matched with award-winning service and genuine hospitality.

While there are SO many more options to explore in Denver at Outdoor Retailer, we hope these above suggestions were a good starter for you. Please make sure to visit your friends in ILC at Booth 521-LL all week long. We look forward to seeing you in the Mile-High City!
